Resolution List for Children

resolution list for childrenThe New Year is a perfect moment to look back and try to make some changes from the past, things that might not proceed as a successful result. It is a time when we start to make new goal and accomplishment, it’s time to make a new resolution to improve our lives.

Making new resolution can be introduced even to children in preschoolers age. Just make it simple and fun, and try some of activities that related to their resolution.

Here are some resolutions for children – and teens – There are 10 of them, just pick 3 to 6 of them for the first 3 months, to see how’s their effort to do it :


Resolutions for Preschoolers
* I will brush my teeth twice a day
* I will do my potty
* I will wash my hands after touching anything and before eating
* I will clean up my toys
* I will not be cranky anymore
* I will sleep by myself
* I will not look at TV too close
* I will say something nice
* I will play nice with other kids
* I will eat and drink well

Resolutions for School Age Kids
* I will do my homework in time
* I will spend only one to two hours each day – at the most – on watching TV
* I will sleep in time
* I will do my chores at home
* I will drink milk and water
* I will not eat too much junk food
* I will never give out personal information on the Internet or to strangers
* I will be nice to other kids
* I will behave in car
* I will find a sport or an activity that I like and do it at least three times a week

Resolutions for Teens
* I will eat at least one fruit and one vegetable every day, and limit soda
* I will take care of my health through physical activity and nutrition.
* I will resist peer pressure to try cigarettes, drugs and alcohol.
* I will wipe negative “self talk” (i.e. “I can’t do it”) out of my vocabulary.
* I will choose non-violent television shows and video games
* I will be nice to my parents, teachers and elders and show respect to them.
* I will help out in my community – through volunteering to helps people in need.
* I will take a break and find constructive ways to deal with the stress
* I will talk with an adult about my problems and choices in life
* I will be careful about whom I choose to date, and treat others with respect
